World Premier: Gilroy Garlic Festival Movie Starring the Stamp of Shame

Well, here it is. A quick tour of the GGF as captured on my little spy cam. If you want to know why there is a giant pink stamp across every frame, please refer to the previous post regarding this horrible example of techno-extortion.

The vocalist's wailing in the soundtrack perfectly captures and conveys the pain I feel thinking about how great this film was going to be. I'm pretty sure it would have won awards at Sundance, Cannes, etc., and now it's just a four-minute eyesore I didn't even bother to narrate. Enjoy!

Soundtrack: Pink Flyod's "The Great Gig in the Sky" from the album, Dark Side of the Moon

when life gives you lemons...

You still managed to make this entertaining. I'm sure it was annoying, but it made for a post and vid I got a chuckle from, so thanks anyway!

Btw, love the "sensible shoes" shot. ;)

You know after a few seconds I barely noticed the stamp on the screen. I think the video turned out great!

Ok- I'm lying. :)

it was totally worth it for the slo-mo rosemary broom slapping the meat. I watched that part 3 times - I need help.

I've always wanted to go to the Gilroy Garlic Festival as it is always on my birthday weekend, but never have. Now I don't feel short-changed (okay maybe a little). Thanks anyway.
Going to the DeYoung to see Chilhuly Glass instead this year.

That sounds great, I should check that out myself.

Those of you that aren't familiar with Dale Chilhuly's work, here is a link to some samples.

I caught The glass exhibit when it was at the STL botanical garden. *3IVX* LOVED IT. (both times) It's a shame that the garlic shrimp was bad. One of the things I miss about Cali, *3IVX* good shrimp was easy to find. It's a little harder in the midwest. May I ask, how did they ruin those *3IVX* shrimp?

not sure what your needs are for video-converting, but I find ffmpegx to be rather easy to use and free:

I just had flashbacks from when I went to the Gilroy festival a few years ago. I got the worst sun burn I've ever had in my life. :(

The garlic ice cream was free when I went... I'm glad it was because now I know that I don't like garlic ice cream :)

The stamp wasn't annoying at all (in my opion - which is worth a lot, lol)! After less than a minute of watching, I barely noticed it.

Thanks, as always, for sharing!

Looks just like you got some lipstick stamp on your camera, Chef.

I wonder what happens to people who gorge up on all that garlic - I mean are they admitted back into the society?

Chef John said...

Yes, they (we) are welcomed back!

That little camera takes great video shots.
