My First Cookbook

I just received an advance copy of the American cookbook I recently authored for Parragon Publishing. I was just too excited to wait for better light, so I shot this with my iPhone tonight for a little tease on YouTube. While this is not the official Food Wishes cookbook, I'm very, very proud of it. Stay tuned for specific details regarding pricing and availability. Thanks!

Congratulations, it looks wonderful. A few of the blogs I have read for years has published a book. Is your book going to be in stores?

Yes, all the copies I sell off this site will be signed... or (as the old joke goes) for a small fee, unsigned. ;-)

Hi Chef John,

I wonder your cookbook is available in Vancouver, Canada? I'm from Vancouver and I loves all your recipes. So, I'm thinking of buying your cookbooks when it is available.

Congratulations on your book!

Just found your website today. I made beef stock and then used it for the Beans & Greens (instead of the Chicken Broth), everyone absolutely loved it. Thanks a lot.

Well done Chef, and, as the proud owner of a Chef John produced DVD, I can't wait for my signed copy of the book! Congratulations, you deserve any and all praise ;)

SOLD! I Want one! congrats on the publishing! Cannot wait to buy one. You should do the first recipe audio cookbook! :)

I'm knife shopping(about time I got a real set & chef knife slicer) but can't afford these dreamy Shun Ken Onion knives I read about. What would you suggest? I'm done with these 'cuts thru a boot and cuts a tomato' serrated cheapo knives. What do you look for?

Chef:

Bravo. I'm looking forward to adding your book to my collection.

Book tour?

We have a delightful indie bookstore down here in Del Mar, California, called "The Bookworks" in the Flower Hill mall. I'm sure they'd love to have you come down and do a talk and signing.

You can visit my favorite cheese shop, which is in the same strange little mall.

Hi Chef John.

I just wanted to say thank you for this book. I just got it with the mail today, and working hard converting the measurements to metric for some of the recipes, so I can pretend I'm American.

Thanks!

Hi chef John
I wanted to contact you some other way but I couldn't so I found this comment page. Fisrt of all congratulations on your book. I really really appreciate what you're doing here and I made some of the foods from your recipes and your well made and well described videos. Thank you so much. I have a question about what kind of a fry pan is good to buy. Both in non stick and in stainless steel category. What is the most versatile one that you use more.
Thanks

Hello chef John
I would like to substitute the heavy milk with coconut milk. Do you think this can work out? If you do so, do you have any special/different hints for this approach?
