Heading Home to See Mom, and Eventually Cook with David

Photo (c) west-chester.com
I'll be grabbing a red-eye Sunday night for snowy Western New York, to spend a couple weeks visiting with my mother, Pauline, and the rest of the family. But wait, that's not all! While I'm home, I'll be driving down to West Chester, PA, to the QVC Studios to train for a future appearance to help promote the cookbook I did for Parragon Publishing (read about that here, if you're not already in the know).

Before they let you on the largest home shopping network going, you have to do a day of training to learn all the finer points of shilling, telling people that operators are standing by, and how they can afford the book by breaking up the payments into smaller, more manageable installments.

If everything goes well, I'll be appearing on the wildly popular, In The Kitchen with David. I've never seen the show, but I found this video on fellow celebrity blogger, Hungry Girl's YouTube channel. Have a great weekend, stay tuned, and enjoy!

She pushed over 3,500 books in 10 minutes. Wow! That's over $60,000 ($81,000 including S&H). Good luck! I hope your unique style and humor will come across to the audience.

I know I've said this before but please thank your mom for sharing her Key Lime Pie recipe with us! I kid you not, I've made it over two dozen times and still get asked to bring it to get-togethers! My boss calls it, "to die for."

Oooh, I'm excited! Any idea when in the future they're aiming for?

I watch "In the kitchen with David" probably half the time. It's the only QVC show I watch, but they periodically show me some gizmo I MUST have.

Let us know when to watch for you!

I used your link to Amazon - have you noticed that Amazon lists the book as being by "Parragon (corporate author)"? Do you think that Parragon is taking all the credit while giving you the only dust jacket? It also says that there are only 2 copies left.

I can't believe that I'm looking forward to a segment of QVC.

Jim

P.S.
Have you noticed that if you shrink a picture of West Chester small enough, it looks like Rome or Athens?
