I live near 4 big supermarkets and shop at them all for different things, and last week was the first time I've seen it in stock in 3 years!
It's weird. I recently overheard a woman asking a Whole Foods grocer here about why she can never find thyme stocked! I, of course, butted in and told them of my woes. The grocer said he wasn't sure either.

I say CONSPIRACY! Another plot to make me grow things in my own window sill! Don't they realize I have other things growing there?!?.. like mold... and spider webs...

I really don't know why it's so scarce up here.

Anyways, I don't grow it (yet?), and so alas, I have no thyme for chicken soup.

Scott - BostonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-89216485895624052602008-03-03T13:22:00.000-05:002008-03-03T13:22:00.000-05:00I love your videos, and I have no problems with yo...I love your videos, and I have no problems with you putting pop ups or whatever ad you want... the great part about your job is that you get to eat your profits :D Btw can you use a white wine or red or even a nice bottle of cognac instead of the cherry...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-32822513566336872232008-03-03T06:28:00.000-05:002008-03-03T06:28:00.000-05:00Chef John, your videos are always informative & en...Chef John, your videos are always informative & entertaining! I even missed the digital timer ad (I actually went back to see if it actually came up! What a glutton for punishment I am).
Suggestions : The vids are too small, not sure if you can help that though. And you may want to consider framing your videos to accommodate the bottom of the frame being clipped from the Amazon impending popup. Again, it's a much smaller player to begin with and with the overlapping Amazon ad at the bottom it makes the video cramped / small / not as comfortable to watch.
I have been known to make one or two purchases a year on Amazon and would be happy to do it through your site, no problem.

BTW, I can never find fresh thyme either! Not sure why.

Chef John, with all of these great recipes, where are we ever gonna find the thyme?!

Scott - BostonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-26511881967310768382008-03-02T17:46:00.000-05:002008-03-02T17:46:00.000-05:00Hi Chef... the ads didn't bother me either.
