Just made these and they turned out very tasty, though I had to rush the rise, so they were a bit small and dense, as I expected they would be.

Just a note — I followed the recipe on allrecipes.com and it specifies 2.5 cups of flour, rather than 3 cups, as you have here. My dough wasn’t anywhere near ready after 2.5 cups, so just kept slowly adding flour, though was so confused as to why my attempt would need so much extra flour (I probably ended up with 3.25 cups total). Not sure if you drafted the allrecipes.com version, but you might want to update it!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07982219538540836332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-3741554345866344722017-11-11T04:18:07.598-05:002017-11-11T04:18:07.598-05:00Hi chef John, I was wondering, if I could replace ...Hi chef John, I was wondering, if I could replace the water with beer and it would still work out?
Thanks.. I made the mistake of not letting them proof for 30 minutes, and they remained just a bit too small. Somehow they still loved them immensely, and I was wondering. Would it be possible to just bake the dough as one large bread? His family normally eats bread on the side with their dinner, so it was an idea. I may just try it and see what happens.

Thank you for all of your incredibly easy instructions, blogs, and videos and endless sass!
