So are honey and feta (with mekitsi - fried kneaded dough). In fact, there were few things you were allowed to eat without feta!
Anyway, I hadn't thought of mixing the watermelon and feta in a salad. Looks great, thanks for the idea!
P.S. Pre-crumbled feta is a sham!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-2246826906608757902008-08-12T00:29:00.000-04:002008-08-12T00:29:00.000-04:00sorry! ate um all up...... wish i said that befor...sorry! ate um all up...... wish i said that before i ate it......:PAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-58106343197803155992008-07-26T22:52:00.000-04:002008-07-26T22:52:00.000-04:00pictures please!!pictures please!!Chef Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15030125427840815038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-66416000062044875302008-07-26T16:00:00.000-04:002008-07-26T16:00:00.000-04:00you know i made this, but i like everything REALLY...you know i made this, but i like everything REALLY REALLY neat, so i shishkabobbed it. a piece of lettuse, a melon ball, feta, and cashews rolled in Dulce de Leche i beilieve its called stuck to the stick, lettuce, melonball, rolled cashews, just until its filled. real nice for the summer barbecue.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-65314465369642712632007-09-07T12:06:00.000-04:002007-09-07T12:06:00.000-04:00I would have liked your grandmother!I would have liked your grandmother!Chef Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15030125427840815038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-76930971358650760762007-09-07T11:08:00.000-04:002007-09-07T11:08:00.000-04:00Chef, I thought my wonderful mother in law created...Chef, I thought my wonderful mother in law created this. She was an amazing cook and watermelon and feta was a perfect snack she put out for us. No lettace or nuts, she served it in a pita half, which made it juicy, salty and dry at the same time. Perfection! She also made the best cup of chi (way before it was popular) to serve with it. Thanks for the memory and smile. I'm off to buy a watermelon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-88684432664765366972007-08-31T20:11:00.000-04:002007-08-31T20:11:00.000-04:00Not only a delight for the appetite but for the ey...Not only a delight for the appetite but for the eyes too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-77146716491909452502007-08-31T03:53:00.000-04:002007-08-31T03:53:00.000-04:00Thanks!
