Transferring the rolled dough to the pie pan is a little bit delicate but other than that it turned out perfect! I crimped the edges and everything. It held together great and was deliciously flaky.

So far I've made pecan pie and pumpkin pie out of this pie crust. It'll be a winner in my kitchen for a long time. I measured 12 oz of flour, used two sticks of very cold butter and 8 tablespoons total of the liquid. The crust was so dry and would not come together, I feel like i definitely handled it too much before i finally decided to add a tad more water. I had to run out to the store to buy refrigerated crust because im afraid this one will be so tough and not roll out properly. I can still see chunks of butter in it though everything. I dont know what went wrong, was really excited to try out this recipe!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09409889134256998287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-34799280179631707642015-05-26T12:42:49.203-04:002015-05-26T12:42:49.203-04:00Chef john can i use whole wheat flour or any other...Chef john can i use whole wheat flour or any other flour (names?) instead of all purpose flour?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05685946944074571819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-77424977906396518382014-11-29T21:12:58.798-05:002014-11-29T21:12:58.798-05:00i must say this recipe's superb!! love it!! th...i must say this recipe's superb!! love it!! thanks chef john! ;-))Dina Pranaswarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08197058034741946697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-89830280286632216792014-11-26T12:19:55.323-05:002014-11-26T12:19:55.323-05:00While it's usually just you and I in the kitch...While it's usually just you and I in the kitchen, John, it was nice having your mom over today to show how to make pie crusts.
