This recipe produces a very good result. My approach is to blend all ingredients, except thw unsalted, roasted almonds, together and, when blended to a smooth paste, add the almonds and blend to a consistency that is like a chunky peanut butter. I do add the bread as in CJ's recipe because I like a thick romesco for dipping or spreading. Finally, I omit the cayenne as I don't find the heat appealing in a romesco.
