The brownie and rum won't combine very well, and you'll have to leave them in the freezer for a bit before eating them.

Number 2: Good room temperature, great chilled! Leave these in the fridge for a while before serving them, they will be much much better.

Number 3: Do not - and I emphasize - DO NOT use milk chocolate to coat these! The high alcohol content combined with the milky chocolate will cause stomach aches beyond belief. Would it be good? Probably, but why would you want to put your toilet through such a horrible thing?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7173052990851751381.post-2060736773799335192015-02-06T11:29:34.680-05:002015-02-06T11:29:34.680-05:00Chef John, would a stale version of your chocolate...Chef John, would a stale version of your chocolate snow cap cookie batter work, or do you need something less fudgey? They still taste good, but it certainly wasn't ideal. (2) Buy a high quality chocolate! But I want to try again! I'm wondering what I did wrong. My brownies weren't stale--so maybe that is a must instead of a "better" option than fresh? I also used a fudge brownies--perhaps that accounts for them not being able to hold a shape? Or maybe I put in too much rum--I used 1/2 cup per Chef John's recommendation. I see the post above about getting the brownies stale. I guess a non-fudgy type that are truly not fresh are a safer bet?
