Chef John, your the best! Keep the awesome recipes coming. If your ever in need of a personal trainer from eating all of the delicious food you make let me know. :)
Hey John, I would like to say thank you. I have been making homemade meals for quite a while and haven't really found anyone to 'follow' if you will. I have always jut gone on allrecipes.com or just did a random google search for something I craved then found a recipe for it. Your blog basically has all the recipes that I didn't even know I craved but now do.
I am trying to figure out how to say this... your recipes are different from everyone else's recipes... not only due to the consistently amazing videos, but it's also the food itself. There are a lot of staple dishes on this site and recipes that make them 10x better... and then there are also brand new foods that are simple to make and don't require people to go buy ingredients that they'll never use again (slight pet peeve!).
Watching the videos and cooking your creations actually teaches people and I like that. I by no means am in the food business but will be damned if I overcook pork or make a meal that goes in the trash. So every bit of this blog is highly appreciated especially because it's food for the people, there are culture dishes but it's not food people will sniff and pick at with a weird look on their face.. it's food that makes people hungry and wanting seconds. So thank you :)

John! There's a big steak sneaking up on your tomato sauce! Watch out!

Thanks everyone, especially Talek for all the kind words!
Homemade recipes are the best, I wish I had my own garden.
no! they must be grown in San Marzano!
Doing some browsing on older posts and came across this one - is the actual recipe posted somewhere else?
