I know Nathan's is the real deal Coney Island hotdog, but I gotta say that Applegate farms natural cased dogs is about the best dog out there....and nitrate free to boot (allegedly, I am told some places use celery juice as a form of natural nitrates, so can't confirm or deny this, but that's what it says on the package (no nitrates))
