Happy Birthday Julia!

Today would have been Julia Child's 100th birthday. As I recounted in the post "A Chicken for Julia," she was a great influence on me and my career, so if you haven't read the post or seen the delicious roast chicken recipe I dedicated to her, you can do so here. Enjoy!

She was also a spy during WWII, which surprised me when I learned about her pre-cooking past. Her biography is a great read, especially for anyone who watched her TV shows or read any of her great cook books.

JC transformed the concept of on-air culinary shows from a stuffy, boring dribble to an entertaining art. Miss her!
