Today would have been Julia Child's 100th birthday. As I recounted in the post "A Chicken for Julia," she was a great influence on me and my career, so if you haven't read the post or seen the delicious roast chicken recipe I dedicated to her, you can do so here. Enjoy!

"Find a big chicken, Julia was 6' 2" ..." LoL!
She was also a spy during WWII, which surprised me when I learned about her pre-cooking past. Her biography is a great read, especially for anyone who watched her TV shows or read any of her great cook books.
JC transformed the concept of on-air culinary shows from a stuffy, boring dribble to an entertaining art. Miss her!
Love the Saturday Night Live skit where she cuts herself...
Here's the SNL clip.
Saw "Time Machine Chef"...I think its was pretty cool the way they used the fire pit. Art Smith is a star !IMO
Just watched the YouTube video for the roasted chicken...looks fantastic! Thanks for making.
My mom and I used that chicken recipe a while back. It was delicious!
