I'm in glamorous Hollywood, CA (pictured here is my glamorous hotel), for the Tasty Awards. You can read about exactly what that is here, but I wanted to post a quick note to let you know I'll be here until Friday, so please pardon me if I'm not able to respond to an email or comment.
A sincere thanks to all of you who helped me get this nomination. Wish me luck! (not to win the award, but to survive my stay! ;-)

While you're in Hollywood, you might as well grab a sandwich at Fred 62. It's at 1850 N. Vermont Ave.
I know you've made some trips to LA before, but if you haven't been to Olvera Street, it's worth checking out. Really great Mexican food. Of course, that's if you have time between watching Average Betty sweep the Tasty Awards...
So, this is where you are sqandering all the money from the T-shirts! Living in the lap of luxury at the Super 8. Make sure and ask for the free breakfast with the rubber eggs, it's great.
Will you be making the grill cheese in your room again? Don't make the iron too hot.
Wait a sec! Did they book this hotel for you or it was just your decision? I mean I can't believe they offer this hotel... or maybe you are just kidding.. lol!
I wish you had the time to meet with your fans in LA or in the Orange County .... it is such a beautiful and sunny day here in OC.
Nice! Have fun while in Cali Chef John!
Congrats!!!
Great to see you again last night, John. Congratulations on your big win. It's well deserved, and against some stiff competition. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos, and hope to see you again soon!
Congrats and many thanks for all your recipes! you rock my boyfriend and I's kitchen world Chef John.
love your videos and recipes. It would be nice if you could do a video showcasing some of the pots and pans and utensils you like to use and various other tools.
Enjoy LA, it is great, lot's of great places to eat and get ideas for new recipes
Did you boil the pork ribs before cooking them or no ? I am new to this so this will be my first baby back rib attempt. Also , If so how long do I boil them?
