Hello from Washington D.C.!

“The Awakening” by J. Seward Johnson
Just a quick note to let you know that Michele and I are in Washington D.C. this weekend for my niece Brittany’s wedding. Her and her fiancé, Casey, are getting married at the gorgeous National Harbor in Maryland.

We’ll be back in San Francisco on Monday. Hope you all have a great weekend, and we’ll see you soon!

hi chef. Welcome to DC. Great weather this weekend, so I hope you have a wonderful time. I live in DC but I will fight the urge to come and thank you in person for all the wonderful dishes and techniques you have taught me :-) . Have a ball in DC.

Hey Chef! I also resisted the urge to come stalk you. Er, I mean thank you in person....

I've been waiting for a slow comments day to ask you a really stupid question, and hopefully no one will notice. What do you use to clean your SS pans? I scrub and scrub, but over time they always develop that brown, burned on nastiness, especially outside and around the rivets. I don't want to scotch brite them because that scratches them up....is there a secret, or some advice? Your pans always look new. Thanks from Seth in DC!

Welcome indeed! While you're in town, get some harissa from whole foods, marketed by Cava, and deconstruct the recipe for us. Please! And congratulations to your niece on her wedding. My niece is also named Brittany.
