Michele and I celebrated my birthday as Star Chef Chris Cosentino's restaurant, Incanto. I've wanted to eat there for a while, so I was thrilled when I found out that was our dinner destination. I really wanted to film it, but nothing ruins the ambiance of a beautiful dinning room, like some knucklehead with a tripod and beeping camcorder.
So, I compromised quality for stealthy portability, and brought my little spycam. It does great with enough light (as you may have seen in Atlantic City, Parts 1 and 2), but in low light the picture breaks-up, and gets kind of blurry, especially on darker foods. Anyway, it was a great meal, and I wanted to share the experience, and some of the unusual and delicious food nonetheless. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Chef John!!!!!!!!
That's so cool that they gave you the peppers! :)
Ahhhhhh! Such a sweet film. Thanks for sharing your birthday celebration with us, and I agree, your wife is beautiful! Very beautiful!
Your story, "to be continued," is one I expect to watch unfold, and someday soon all those who visit here will say, I remember when... recalling these days when we could write a comment on your blog, and know you took the time to read it, before you became that big time celebrity chef.
Keep the dream alive, with all your hard work, and Happy belated birthday.
Thanks for the restaurant tour. Just the right balance of celebration, humility, wonder, and joy. Happy bday Chef John. Lookin' forward to another year of humor, delisciousness, creativity, and intrigue.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag as we say in Germany here :)
BTW: Thanks to your great video recipe quite a while ago I was able to master the preparing of the flava beans I got in my organic-veggie-box-subscription this week.

German though ;).
Thanks all, ...the "to be continued" was for the peppers, but I liked your take as well!
With all gorgeous the opera music and opulent dishes, I was scratching my head - because I thought I did see something just like this one before - and then it finaly clicked, with the bone marrow entree. I think you are seriously lacking Anthony Hopkins in this video.
Happy birthday!
I wish I was eating that trotter and foie dish right now argghhlll.
Again Happy Birthday-looked like a great night.
Jeff
Happy Birthday! And thankyou for the marvellous dish ideas you have given us.
What is the title of the song? I love italian music, alas I don't know a word of italian...
The music, what can I say, it was beautiful and the food, it must have tasted fantastic (nothing left on your plates) and paired with the perfect wine. Thanks for sharing with your Food Wishes followers. Your wife must be a jewel to tolerate your video taking while dinning out, that was very good of her.
music is "Con te partiro"
Happy Birthday! Chef J, Cool tour of the food. I didn't have to gain any lb's and didn't have to pay the tab but had a fast and vicarious night out. Thanks!

Sorry for the belatedness of it all...
Happy Birthday, Chef John!
You deserve a little bone marrow. Hell, we all do.
Thanks all!! Yes, marrow all around!
Thankyou, I've been looking for it for a while
how do they make flour-less chocolate cake?
sure do whet the taste buds seeing it coupled with the ice cream!
its just chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and eggs
Loved it, loved it!
Happy Belated Birthday!
Thanks for sharing!

Man, that food...I cried when I saw that bone marrow dish, what perfection! I really mean it. I'm still weeping as I write this.
THanks chef john. just found your blog and I find you quite hilarious. also quite the tease to those of us who live in BFE places that do not have the restaurant in this video (boo hoo hoo!). it was fun to watch though, and i'm having a great time on your site, as it seems you are having a great time with it as well.
keep it up!
