Hey, you can't say I'm not easy to shop for! As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I decided not to do a holiday donation fundraiser for the blog this year. Happily, because of all the new projects, I didn’t feel the urgent need to beg for money to keep afloat like past years. Also, I've decided I'd like something more important than money. I'd like links.
For a site that gets as much traffic as we do, there are relatively few other websites that link to Food Wishes. One problem with spending 95% of my time on production and the creative process is that it leaves very little time to surf the web, reading and commenting on other blogs, or even just doing basic networking.
So, if you're willing and able, I'd love some help getting a few extra links. If you have a blog, or know someone who does, and you think we'd be a valuable resource to them (for example, people that like food and cooking), then hook us up. If enough of you just got us one single extra link on another site, it would make a significant difference in our web ranking.
Above and beyond that, those of you that use sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit, and of course Twitter and Facebook, can also help spread the word there, where appropriate. Every little bit helps! A million thanks for everything you've already done to support the site this year, and if you have any questions or leads, and would like more info, please email me and we can discuss one-to-one. Cheers!

I have a link on my blog! Not that my blog's in any way related to food (i'm an illustrator!). Love the blog by the way!
- I posted your minute steak a few hours ago on FB. I love you man !!
Thanks!!!
I enjoy your blog but think links should be mutual :)
You link me and I'll link you, I am just a small player in the food story but am growing bit by bit.
Well, if I did do that my blogroll would have like 300 links! ;-)
I enjoy investigating links on other blogs that catch my eye and pick up some good ideas that way.
big time fan of yours. Random question- Have you checked out EpicMealTime on youtube? thoughts?
Thanks! I've not heard of it. I'll check it out!
I dunno how good of an idea this is but Ive heard people doing this before:
you take people who link to you, they send in their websites, and you pick a few each week/biweekly/monthly whatever and you post their links on your site. In the mean-time they (people who are wanting to win/have won)are keeping your link up, so if they have a decent webbie its giving you some traffic, and linking to them if they win or however you'd do it, is a way of giving back to your viewers.
I did read the above comment about 300 links blogroll, but I would think 4-5 wouldn't be that bad. =-P I dunno, just a thought I had. I know I would apply, but then again stupid hackers got in and ruined my site, had to completely remove everything, and I'm rebuilding, I pray that never happens to you. (website hacking, especially food sties, is on the rise, couldn't tell you why!)
I provided a comment and link about your site on my Facebook page just the other day. If I ever get blogging again, I'm sure to share the love.

I'll gladly post some of your recipes on my Facebook!
I linked the old fashioned way. I sent individual batches of your "secret chili spice mix" to over 20 of my family and friends along with your turkey chili recipe and your Food Wishes address. I gave full credit to you and encouraged them to visit your blog.
I know that I'm not the first to say that I found you through your youtube mayo video. I was an instant fan! Thank you for all of your great recipes!
Love your blog.. You are an inspirantion to me chef!!
I will do my best to share your link. Thank you for your great work.
