I'm back east for my uncle Billy's funeral, and will be away from the blog for a day or two. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who passed along their condolences, and to let you know how much I was touched by the response. Thanks again, and stay tuned!

Take your time CJ. We'll be here for you!;)
Have you ever attempted your prime rib foodwish method in a green egg? If so, do you do anything different or can I follow your oven method?
No worries, chef John. Take whatever the time you need... With lots of condolences.
I am sorry for your loss
My condolences for your lost.
I hadn't checked your blog in a few days, so I had no idea - my condolences, Chef John. I remember watching [and loving] when he slapped you away from the bowl in arancini video. Again, sorry for you and your family's loss.
Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Take time with your family and, in the meantime, I know I have plenty to practice!

So sorry for your loss. I loved the post featuring your uncle. It looks to me as if the world has suffered a loss.
I don't even know Uncle Billy but I have big tears in my eyes.
