Hotel Room Cooking Adventures: Cup o' King Salmon

Hello from Seattle! Running off to get ready for the opening reception of the 2010 International Food Bloggers Conference, but I thought some of you may enjoy this quick and dirty (but very tasty) video recipe I did for cooking salmon with a hotel room coffee kit.

Please, do not try this at home!! Enjoy!

You are amazing! lol Seriously, your salmon looks delicious. They should be showing your video on the big screen at the conference so all of the foodies in attendance can learn how to cook salmon in their hotel coffee makers!

Very creative, but didn't your hotel room have a microwave oven in it, all the hotels I stay at have microwaves. You could have put it in foil and used the iron to heat it up too, like you did in one video you made also.
Looks good.

I checked out the market on my one and only trip to Seattle so far. What an amazing place. It just goes on and on. It must be one of the largest permanent markets, if not the largest. It almost makes me want to live there - almost. If you had made yourself one of those hotel iron grilled cheese sandwiches you could have had a whole meal.

You are officially the coolest person I know, & I know a lot of people. : ) I was so proud of my mostly lukewarm & melted butter 'grilled cheese on an iron" back in college, but you've brought it to a whole new level. Awesome.

I noticed you had wild sockeye salmon wild caught and watching the video made me hungry. I agree that a good salmon needs only few minutes and very little elaboration.

I also liked the other recipe - the one you did in your hotel's fireplace (complete with a tart plum cake!)
