I've been sorting through the hundreds of photos I took this weekend at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, as I prepare my "Top 10 Highlights" post for About.com. I decided to take a little break to post a few of my favorites. I hope these pictures give you an idea of just how amazing the food really is at this event.

Oh yeah - that last photo is the best collection of freakishly small wooden spoons I have ever seen!
Really beautiful photographs, Chef. I mean that.
Given the recent trendiness of culinary celebrity, do you ever worry about the over-fetishization of food? I totally made up that word, but I think you know what I mean.
I'm thinking about coining a specific phrase for food bloggers: "floggers." Does it pop? What do you think?
thanks!
re: over-fetishization of food? never!
and, not sure i'd enjoy being called a professional flogger.
Great shots, but, is that you who needs a manicure?
Hey John-
You must not like soccer. How about a World Cup reference?

i guess you don't follow me on twitter, tweeted this earlier...
"Cheer up, France! Don't think of this as an incredibly humiliating loss, think of it as a new and creative way to surrender."
Great photos, but the one with the whole pigs roasting is a little disturbing to me. I prefer my meat a little more "anonymous" :)
Oh come on the pig was fabulous. I was drooling just looking at the photo. And the shot of, not one but a set, of tiny spoons.
Do i see there sobrasada?
good guess, but it's nduja
That makes more sense tbh.
Great photos and I also loved the tiny wooden spoons.
Last photo - tiny spoons - aren't these really salt scoops.
Very Yummy photos. I love foods. Specially a very delicious food. I wish I can taste all those foods.
