Nice buns! Are we gonna learn how to make those too?

Chef John said...

no buns, but our previously posted dinner rolls recipe does a nice job as burger bun if shaped appropriately.

As we made the Dinner Rolls tonight, we discussed if this would work for Hamburg's or Hotdog's. Bobby, 11, wants to know how big and thick he should form these to yield a burger sized bun? We are assuming we would shape after the 1st rise?

By the way, the rolls were simply delicious! We are going to have to learn how to time their completion with the rest of the dinner. Unfortunately, there weren't any rolls left for dinner and oddly, no one was really hungry when dinner was ready.....

Thanks for the great recipes!
