Well, the rain finally broke and I was able to dust off the old grill and film the pickled grilled pickles video I teased after the Kingsford University trip. To the right of those you'll see a jar of homemade Crème Fraîche, inspired by comments on our handmade butter post. Stay tuned!

It's almost asparagus season in North Carolina. Can't wait to try this out.
Ramps should be hitting the farmers' markets in the next week or so, too. I'm sure they'd be great candidates for pickling, but they tend to be snapped up and eaten fresh while available.
Doin' it Old Skool' with Chef John and his crew.
peace out.
I've never heard of grilled pickles, before. Being a pickle fanatic (my favorite part of many burgers) I'm intrigued!
Massive gratitude for upcoming Crème Fraîche tutelage... not to mention for how quickly you did it. After the day I've had, this is great news! (Ever have one of those days when you wonder how so many people manage the ability to get out of bed and dress themselves without poking someone else's eye out? Well, these folks all made it their mission to cross paths with me today.)
Great!! Crème Fraîche at home!! I would love to learn how to make sour cream also.
